The Inspiration

The sound of ice at the moment it fractures — stilled, suspended, held within this small landscape.
It is not sharpness; it is the way light travels through frozen fissures. Not breakage, but a quieter wholeness rebuilt from fragments. We tried to translate the conversation between water and cold into metal — and so this piece exists: Cracked Ice.

About the Piece

Gold Embracing Silver: A Symbiosis of Two Radiant Beings

The surface is warm, solid gold. The core is quiet, unadorned sterling silver. The ancient art of gold-over-silver awakens again on the contemporary wrist — not merely a joining of materials, but a meeting of two kinds of light, as if they arrived at a quiet agreement just to reach you. The warmth of gold: the afterglow of day. The clarity of silver: the origin of night.

The Poetic Width of 6.2mm

We returned to this number many times. A fraction less and it would lose its presence; a fraction more and it would disturb its lightness. 6.2mm — just enough canvas for the cracked-ice texture to breathe, just enough restraint to let your gestures speak first. Like a sentence that doesn’t rush to finish, leaving the aftertaste on your wrist.

When Light Passes Through the Ice

The irregular textures on the surface are traces of the hand, deliberately preserved. They are not flaws; they are paths for light to wander. Morning daylight, the slant of afternoon sun, the amber glow of evening — each kind of light catches a different expression among these frozen fissures. The bracelet will subtly change its mood as your day changes.

Wearing It Is More than Wearing It

This is not a silent ornament. It is closer to a moment you carry with you — the early morning when fine cracks spread across an ice sheet after the first snow, the last second before frost flowers on a winter window dissolve.
